The day before Easter, I found out that we were pregnant. I was so excited I couldn't contain myself and immediately called Vin on his cell phone. He didn't pick up and as I thought about it, I didn't want to tell him this news over the phone. I went out to the store, picked up some plastic easter eggs and filled them with lottery tickets and scratch off tickets. I saved one egg, the orange egg, Vin's favorite color, to put a note inside. The note read "We are Pregnant". I placed the eggs all over the house for Vin to find. He got home shortly after and I let him know that part of his Easter gift was an Easter egg hunt. He look at me very puzzled, but being the kid at heart that he is, he played along accordingly. I was gleaming with excitement and of course he opened the orange egg last. He looked at me with big eyes and he said "Are you serious," then I nodded. He gave me a big hug and kiss and our eyes were both glossy from crying. It was the beginning of a new life for us.
